We have been encouraged to “bring our whole selves to work” but what if our “ whole selves” are entirely at odds with our work colleagues? How can managers ensure that those with conflicting beliefs feel safe and are treated fairly and what if any role do they have in resolving conflicts or disputes between employees resulting from differing opinions or beliefs? Where do employers draw the line between tolerance or neutrality of different beliefs and/or allyship with one over another?
What guidance does the law provide on how we manage competing beliefs and how do we know what expressions of those beliefs are lawful and where competing beliefs are present in the workforce how do know which belief or right trumps another?
A minefield? Yes, but there is useful guidance available.
This online workshop will provide attendees with an outline of the current state of law as well as a practical and useful guidance with examples allowing for what will hopefully be an engaging discussion with fellow employers experiencing the same challenges as you!
